I came across a post where the blogger was questioned by the police for over ten hours due to OTC withdrawals.

Ali, as a user with eight years of experience, would like to share some precautions regarding withdrawals:
Currently, for OTC withdrawals,

Alipay is much safer than bank cards.

If you can avoid receiving money from strangers via bank card, do not use it!
Bank cards are only suitable for deposits.

Last year, Ali withdrew over 900,000 via Alipay without any issues.

Why bank cards are prone to freezing:
The core logic of the bank's risk control is—large direct transfers from unfamiliar accounts, without transaction background, with unclear source of funds.
The characteristic of fraudulent funds is exactly this—large amounts transferred from strangers, immediately withdrawn, with no consumption records.

The bank's risk control is highly sensitive to the behavior of "large direct transfers from strangers"; using OTC to directly transfer to bank cards is almost identical to the path characteristics of fraudulent funds from the bank's system perspective.

Why Alipay is better:

First, Alipay has its own independent risk control system, which filters and underwrites before the funds are transferred. If there is a problem with the account, it will pop up a risk control interface and not allow the transfer at all.

Merchants that can transfer are generally not problematic.

Second, Alipay has a low single transaction limit and strict real-name verification; real fraudulent funds would not choose Alipay as a channel, as it’s too easy to track.

Third, withdrawing funds from Alipay to a bank card is viewed by the bank as "Alipay withdrawal," not as "transfer from a stranger," with a clear source label, making the risk control model much friendlier to this path.

Finally, be sure to choose [Frozen Compensation]
Don’t be greedy for that little exchange rate difference!!!

In a situation where merchants are also competing intensely, many quality merchants choose to join the “Frozen Compensation” sector, indicating they have full confidence in their OTC team and risk avoidance.

So those who have not joined indicate they do not meet the standards, which naturally means they are inferior merchants.

Whether it is frozen or not is fundamentally dependent on the OTC merchants. The funds they receive must first have verified sources; the source is much more important than the accumulation.

No matter how long a piece of dirty money accumulates, it is still dirty money.

Professional merchants only accept money from financial management, stock cashing, or fixed asset liquidation. These funds are guaranteed to be clean, and after filtering, they are sold to users.
