Yesterday I accompanied a friend to apply for a pet certificate, and suddenly thought of a question.

A form was handed out of the window: owner's name, ID number, address... and finally a checkmark was made in the 'Pet' column.

I stared at that form for a long time, and a thought popped into my head: if the one coming to apply for the certificate today is a robot, how should this form be filled out?

Name? It doesn't have one. ID number? It doesn't have one. Address? It might have one, but the law doesn't recognize it.

The most ironic thing is: an AI that can help you drive, help you move bricks, and help you calculate accounts, is even less than a cat in the financial system. A cat can get a certificate, but a robot doesn't even have the qualification to apply for one.

@FabricFND's blog has a passage that I have read several times:

"Robots lack financial identity. Humans can open bank accounts, hold passports, sign contracts, obtain insurance, and receive compensation. Robots cannot. Until robots can participate in the world like primary economic entities, they will remain slaves owned by a few powerful companies, trapped on isolated islands."

This is what Fabric is doing: providing robots with "household registration."

It's not the kind of household registration that just requires a simple registration; it’s on-chain, verifiable, and can be searched globally. With this ID, robots can:

Open wallet (to store the money you earn)

Sign contracts (accept tasks, schedule maintenance)

Buy insurance (in case of accidents, compensation can be provided)

Pay electricity bill (self-charging, self-paying)

It sounds like science fiction, but $20 million from Pantera and Coinbase Ventures has already been invested.

Now$ROBO fluctuates around 0.04, many people are asking if it's failing.

I instead feel that true value is not in the K-line. When the streets are filled with robots in the future, whoever holds their "household registration" will have the printing press of this era.

One day when your robot vacuum cleaner pays its own electricity bill and schedules its own maintenance, you'll realize — the person who provided the robots with household registration understood the future even before the people who built the robots.

How many more years do you think it will take for robots to fully enter daily life? Let's chat in the comments.#ROBO $ROBO
