A former employee of Banco do Brasil was arrested by the Civil Police of RS for applying scams totaling R$ 1 million, diverting resources from elderly individuals to buy Bitcoin! 🧓💸➡️🪙
🔍 According to the investigation:
He promised to release denied loans to attract victims
He cloned cards and opened accounts in the names of the elderly
He used the data to spend on luxury hotels, restaurants, and transfer funds to personal accounts
Just in 2022, he bought more than R$ 400 million in BTC, today valued at around R$ 1 million
📉 In total, 32 victims have already filed complaints, with debts including fraud in payroll loans, health plans, and credit cards.
⚖️ The Justice system blocked the accounts and assets of the suspect, identified as Andrey Rottini, who had already worked at other banks and had been scamming for at least 3 years.
