The price of Chainlink is at a strong breakout opportunity, potentially bringing this oracle token close to the 100 USD mark, according to technical analysis published by cryptocurrency expert Ali Martinez on 10/9.
Martinez stated that LINK has formed a 'bull flag' pattern on the weekly chart, while the price is testing the important resistance area of 25 - 26 USD. He emphasized: 'Chainlink's next move could very well pave the way to conquer the 100 USD threshold.'

The technical setup indicates strong potential for Chainlink's price to rise significantly.
Chainlink's price established a bottom at 10.89 USD on April 8 before a spectacular 120% surge, reaching 23.8 USD at the time of writing.
This year, LINK's movement portrays a classic bullish flag pattern: starting with a strong breakout, followed by an accumulation – correction phase in a descending channel. On the weekly frame, the 25–26 USD range has emerged as a key resistance level, which is also the upper limit of this pattern.
If LINK can break through that important resistance level, the next rally could very well be triggered. Technical analysis even expects Chainlink's price to reach the 100 USD mark – corresponding to a 320% increase from the current level and nearly 10 times from the April low. Such a breakout would help LINK become one of the leading large-cap altcoins in performance during this cycle.
Notably, the bullish flag pattern reflects accumulated demand over many months of correction. At the same time, data from Nansen recorded that 'whales' have quietly accumulated 2,080,000 LINK over the past 180 days – valued at approximately 49.5 million USD at current prices – indicating a significant buying activity increase of 64.5%.
The adoption from institutions suggests the possibility of a breakout in Chainlink's price.
The technical setup of Chainlink's price is aligned with notable movements from institutions, further reinforcing confidence in the long-term investment prospects of this token.
A prominent example is Grayscale, which filed to establish the Chainlink ETF on September 8, marking an important step in the effort to bring the oracle network closer to traditional financial capital.
Bloomberg's ETF expert, Eric Balchunas, has previously emphasized the 'revolutionary' influence of ETF listings on digital assets. On X on April 21, he wrote:
"The fact that your coin is ETF'd is like a band when their songs are put on every streaming platform. It doesn't guarantee that everyone will listen, but it certainly places your music where the majority of the audience is present."
In this context, the ETF filing not only helps increase LINK's visibility among institutional investors, but if approved, it would also open the door for safe and legal access for pension funds, endowments, and large investors. In other words, this could be a powerful catalyst to initiate a new breakout of Chainlink's price in the near future.
Caliber's stock rose 2,267% thanks to the Chainlink Treasury strategy.
Caliber completed its first Chainlink purchase on September 9, kicking off the newly announced Digital Asset Treasury strategy. With this move, Caliber became the first Nasdaq-listed company to officially choose LINK as a core reserve asset in its treasury.
The information immediately created a strong boost for Caliber's stock price, surging from 2.15 USD to 50.91 USD in just a few hours – equivalent to a 2,267% increase. However, the excitement quickly cooled down, bringing the stock price back to 8.67 USD.

CEO Chris Loeffler emphasized that this is not a spontaneous move but rather 'a disciplined strategy, adhering to organizational standards to build a position with LINK', while revealing plans to purchase tokens in a long-term cycle.
Caliber explains that Chainlink plays a foundational role in 'connecting blockchain with real assets' – a core factor driving the company to choose LINK for its treasury allocation strategy.
Currently, the group manages 2.9 billion USD in real estate and digital asset portfolios, aiming to connect traditional capital flows and blockchain assets for the benefit of shareholders. Caliber describes its deployment method as 'gradual, calculated accumulation', aimed at averaging costs and building a sustainable LINK position over time.
The Oracle Network maintains its leading position.
Chainlink continues to assert its position as the number one oracle solution, providing decentralized data to back smart contracts across dozens of blockchain networks.
As a core infrastructure, this protocol becomes the foundation for the DeFi ecosystem, enterprise-level blockchain projects, as well as efforts to transparently and reliably connect traditional finance with off-chain data.
Currently, the resonance between the potential technical breakout and the wave of applications from institutions is creating ideal conditions for the next significant step in Chainlink's price journey.
