Anton Kobyakov, senior advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin, warned the world that the USA is preparing to use cryptocurrency to write off its national debt of 35 trillion dollars.

Kobyakov elaborated on this statement at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok on September 7, where BRICS leaders participated in an online meeting to discuss the new tariffs imposed by the administration of President Donald Trump.

He informed forum participants that Washington is trying to change the rules both in the gold market and in the cryptocurrency market. He explained that these two areas have become an alternative to the traditional monetary system and stated that America plans to use them in its interests.

"The US is currently trying to rewrite the rules in the gold and cryptocurrency markets. Remember the size of their debt — 35 trillion dollars," said Kobyakov. The advisor stated that part of this debt will eventually be converted into digital tokens known as stablecoins, and once that happens, the United States will find ways to reduce its value, making it less valuable than before.

He warned that America's plan is to draw the world into what he called the "crypto cloud." By moving debt into this new digital space, Washington will be able to reduce the cost of its liabilities while shifting the burden onto the rest of the world.

"Simply put: they have a currency debt of 35 trillion dollars, they will move it into the crypto cloud, devalue it — and start from scratch," Kobyakov explained. He added that the main goal of this plan is to address the issue of declining trust in the dollar.

Kobyakov also compared the current situation to previous turning points in US financial history.

In the 1930s, during the Great Depression, America abandoned the gold standard to stabilize its economy, which at the time changed the valuation of money. In the 1970s, President Richard Nixon severed the last ties between the dollar and gold, leading to the creation of the paper money system we use today.

According to Kobyakov, the United States is once again preparing to reboot the system, but this time it will be done with digital assets.

"Like in the 30s and 70s, the US plans to solve its financial problems at the expense of the whole world — this time by forcing everyone to move into the cryptocurrency cloud," he said.
