Strategy continues to buy BTC: another 450 million dollars has funded the company's wallet
Strategy, a giant in the business analytics industry, does not cease in accumulating Bitcoin. The company has just spent 450 million dollars on the purchase of 4048 BTC, paying an average of 110,981 dollars per coin. Thus, the already substantial resources of Strategy have increased to 636,505 BTC. The total investments of the company in Bitcoin are approaching 47 billion dollars, and the current value of this wallet, with the price of BTC around 110 thousand dollars, reaches about 70 billion.
The latest investment was reported on Tuesday, September 2, by Michael Saylor, CEO of Strategy. The announcement came with a one-day delay due to the Labor Day holiday in the USA. However, the Japanese company Metaplanet did not wait with a similar announcement – on Monday it proudly announced the purchase of 1009 BTC for 112 million dollars, increasing its resources to 20 thousand BTC.
Bitcoin was not the only cryptocurrency that attracted the interest of large players. SharpLink, known for its impressive investments in Ethereum, also announced a significant purchase. The company acquired 39,008 ETH at an average price of 4,531 dollars. As a result of this transaction, the Ether resources in SharpLink's wallet have increased to 837,230 ETH, which is currently estimated to be worth 3.6 billion dollars. Additionally, in the week ending August 31, SharpLink raised 46.6 million dollars in funding. Both companies – Strategy and SharpLink – announced their purchases on the X platform (formerly Twitter). It is worth noting that Strategy's profit from its BTC investments since the beginning of 2025 has amounted to 25.7%
