Fenasbac, which is the federation of Central Bank servers, is opening another round to accelerate business. The Next program (Batch 8) is looking at startups that deal with financial innovation, and applications are open until Sunday, the 15th.
The idea is to take projects that solve real market problems using cutting-edge technology: blockchain, artificial intelligence, and sustainable finance.
The highlight of this edition is a challenge related to the infrastructure of the capital markets on the XRPL (Ripple) network. The call seeks companies willing to create Decentralized Finance (DeFi) solutions at an institutional level. The goal is to develop tools for custody, settlement, and tokenization of real assets, attracting the big players in the market to the crypto world. But it has to be something secure and capable of scaling.
Another front is dealing with global payments. The program calls anyone who wants to build systems for instant international transfers using stablecoins. The challenge talks about the currency BRL1 and integration with networks like Polygon, to facilitate credit and streamline international remittances. The idea is to combine Pix with blockchain, you know.
Artificial Intelligence and Compliance
Don't just stick to crypto. There's also room for artificial intelligence, helping banks cut costs and streamline processes. Fenasbac seeks tools that read tax documents and contracts using OCR and generative AI to organize messy data and integrate it into payment systems.
How it works
The acceleration lasts 12 weeks. Teams go through diagnosis, receive an action plan, mentoring with specialists, and workshops on financial regulation. In the end, there is the “Demo Day,” where startups showcase what they have accomplished to investors and partners.
A good advantage is being able to develop an MVP or pilot together with companies that support the program.
Fenasbac already has five decades of history as the innovation arm of the Central Bank's servers. It manages ecosystems like the LIFT Lab and the LIFT Challenge Real Digital. Next, launched in 2022, reinforces this role of connecting new technology with regulatory demands and efficiency of the Brazilian financial system.
