In Brazil, the market's attention is focused on Gabriel Galípolo's participation in an event promoted by BTG Pactual (click here to check), especially after the release of the IPCA for January, which raised the relative probability of a cut of only 25 basis points in the Selic in March, as opposed to a more aggressive move of 50 points. This adjustment in expectations helped justify the profit-taking observed in the previous trading session, in line with the mixed mood of international markets. Still, as André Jakurski highlighted during the BTG event, one of the main rules of the Brazilian market remains to follow the foreign investor: when the external flow comes in, you need to follow (buy too). This movement has been observed since last year, with a strong deepening in January, although there are signs of more recent accommodation.
