Hedera posted on Twitter that it has shut down the network proxy on the mainnet. The core team is dealing with abnormal conditions in the smart contract. Once the problem is resolved, the proxy will be re-enabled. During this period, network services will be inaccessible, including wallets, decentralized and centralized exchanges, decentralized applications, etc.
As reported yesterday, SaucerSwap, a DeFi project on Hedera, posted on Twitter that an ongoing vulnerability has attacked the Hedera network, and the target of the vulnerability exploit is the decompilation process in the smart contract. The attacker has attacked the Pangolin and HeliSwap pools containing packaged assets. It is not certain whether other HTS tokens are also at risk. There have been no reports of SaucerSwap user funds being stolen, but as a precautionary measure, everyone is encouraged to withdraw liquidity immediately.
Hedera officially released a Twitter post saying that the core team is actively investigating the discovered smart contract anomalies. The team is working with the DeFi team within the ecosystem to determine the cause and potential impact. (Planet Daily)
