Recently, forms of scams on Binance P2P have been increasing strongly and becoming more sophisticated than ever. If you are trading P2P, please read the following warnings carefully to protect yourself:

1. Fake Payment Scam / Bank Refund

The scammer uses a hacked bank account or a third party's account to transfer money to you. You see the money in your account and hurriedly release crypto. Later, the real account owner complains and the bank refunds the money.

👉 Consequences: Loss of crypto, bank account at risk of being frozen for investigation.

💡 Tip: Always check if the name of the sender matches the name on the Binance order. If different, absolutely do not release the coin.

2. Screenshot Scam / Fake Receipt/SMS

The buyer sends a screenshot or fake SMS message claiming to have made a transfer. Many gullible people trust this and release crypto without checking the actual account.

💡 Tip: Only trust the actual balance in your bank account. Do not trust screenshots or messages.

3. Cancel Order Trap

The scammer pretends to encounter technical issues and asks you to cancel the order. When you cancel, the transaction will no longer be protected by Binance. At this point, they can take advantage to seize your assets.

💡 Tip: Only cancel orders when you are sure you have not received or sent any amounts.

4. Triangle Scam

Scammer uses a third party's account to transfer money to you. When the real account owner discovers and complains, you become the subject of an investigation for receiving illegal funds.

💡 Tip: Ensure that the sender's name matches their Binance account name. If not, absolutely do not release crypto.
