Justin Bons, founder and CIO of Cyber Capital, issued a controversial warning about the future of Bitcoin (BTC). According to him, the network's security model is in decline, and within 7 to 11 years, the reduction of block rewards could make mining unsustainable, paving the way for attacks and weakening BTC.

Bons highlights that the annual security budget for Bitcoin has already fallen from 8% in 2015 to just above 1% in 2025, and predicts that in a decade the block reward will be insufficient to sustain the network. He argues that without adaptation, BTC is at risk of inevitable collapse.

The community, however, is divided: while some recognize the concern, others argue that Bitcoin can reinvent itself, sustaining its security through transaction fees and additional solutions.

👉 This forecast reignites the debate about the long-term sustainability of Bitcoin and the trust in its scarcity narrative.
