This week, the Bitcoin Dominance Index recorded the largest short trading volume since February 2021, surpassing levels not seen in over four and a half years.

We also witnessed the strongest instance of short selling since June 2022. It can be stated unequivocally that the bull market in the altcoin sector is not only fully confirmed but has also been initiated. Currently, we are in the strongest altcoin season since 2021; nonetheless, this is still just the beginning phase.

The Bitcoin Dominance Index is expected to experience the most significant drop in years, a situation that typically occurs only when altcoins enter an extreme bull market.

At present, Bitcoin is consolidating near resistance levels. During this consolidation period for Bitcoin, altcoins are continuing to rise. This is a typical bull market dynamic: when Bitcoin is consolidating at high levels, altcoins tend to experience explosive growth. This pattern is expected to continue in the coming months. More importantly, there are additional positive signals.

The current rise of Ethereum and Litecoin is a prime example, both of which present strong bullish signals for Bitcoin.

This is not to say that the rise of altcoins will lead to a decline in Bitcoin. The reality is: Bitcoin consolidates while altcoins rise; and when Bitcoin finishes consolidating, it will continue to break upwards towards new key highs—around $134,000 to $136,000. When Bitcoin reaches this price range, altcoins will continue to rise, and this cycle will repeat. This is the most optimistic market cycle since 2021.

We still need to continue observing where the trends will lead, but it is almost expected that all mainstream projects will set new all-time highs, if not more. Currently, Bitcoin has entered the all-time high territory, but we still anticipate historical highs for projects like Solana, Litecoin, Ethereum, and Cardano. XRP has already broken its historical high, but its potential has yet to be fully unleashed. $BTC
