Recently, there has been a lot of controversy regarding the MOCO lockup release.

Some people discovered that the LP lockup time for MOCO on certain platforms changed from 9999 years to 2026, which scared a lot of people, making them wonder if it was going to run away.

So what is the truth? I specifically used on-chain tools + ChatGPT to check, and the result is very simple: the lockup hasn't been touched at all!

How is the lockup done?

MOCO's LP is locked using contracts like PinkLock, accounting for about 94% to 95% of the pool.

As long as this portion is not unlocked, no one can withdraw the major liquidity from the pool.

So why is it showing '2026'?

Actually, the lockup time is recorded on the blockchain, and any modifications will leave a trace.

I checked the MOCO lockup contract with ChatGPT and found out:

  • No extension of lockup

  • No unlock

  • No operation to change the time

  • So why does the display change?

It's simple—The frontend (platform) uses cached data or placeholders, and when loading, it may initially show a default value and then refresh the on-chain data, which causes it to jump back to 9999 years..

This is not the first time; many lockups have experienced such blunders.

I personally believe that this lockup incident might be a deliberate release of negative news by the platform!

Because the news was released at the peak of the upward trend, on the same day, the ave platform had another imitation with a trading volume in the hundreds of millions, and the imitation was consistently pinned at the top by the platform. I don’t know how many people got cut in this wave; the result was that the imitation was shut down the next day. However! MOCO did not plummet as everyone saw; instead, retail investors remained strong, not only did they not sell, but they also increased their positions against the trend.

Currently, MOCO has many issues; in reality, most addresses are software-generated, about 40%. The daily real trading volume is not high, with more than half being bots and traps refreshing the data. The real market value is only around 50%.
If you want to see if a coin has potential, look at how many imitations it has.
