NFT Token Chain Bridge
The NFT Token Bridge will allow users to use NFTs created on the WAX Blockchain on other blockchains at any time, unlocking the full potential of the WAX Blockchain's utility. With the NFT Token Bridge, users can use all NFTs created on the WAX Blockchain, over 335 million, on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain. In the future, the WAX Blockchain will add more EVM chains, including Polygon, to further expand the WAX ecosystem. WAX Blockchain content creators and game developers can create web3 applications on the WAX Blockchain and use them on other blockchains at the same time.
About NFT Token Bridge
The WAX Cloud Wallet Chain Bridge is bidirectional and can transfer digital assets on the WAX blockchain to other blockchains, and can also transfer digital assets on other blockchains to the WAX blockchain.
It should be noted that only activated digital assets can be transferred in the WAX Cloud Wallet. After the digital asset is activated, the ERC721 smart contract version of the digital asset will be generated and deployed on the target chain, and the original digital asset owner will still be the owner of the smart contract version of the digital asset. In addition, the digital asset owner must pay the gas fee generated during the ERC721 smart contract deployment process.
Once a digital asset is activated, all owners will have full control over the utility of the smart contract version of the asset, but will not be able to upgrade or change the smart contract. After transferring and paying the gas fee, the owner will be able to choose which markets to trade their digital asset on.
The selling price of the Chain Bridge digital collection on the secondary market is determined by the owner of the target chain collection and is usually sent directly to the owner's cloud wallet.
Chainbridge digital collectibles will not be able to participate in WAX DeFi and can only collect transaction fees on the blockchain. Initially, there will be no collection setup fees or individual transfer fees, but users will need to pay gas fees on the target chain.
We will release the bridge functionality soon after the WAX Cloud Wallet is updated and upgraded, and we expect it to be live before the first weekend in March 2023.
Project developers need to upgrade as soon as possible
The WAX Cloud Wallet is a popular and widely used wallet for transacting on the WAX Blockchain. If you are a developer and are using the WAX Cloud Wallet in your web3 application, please be aware that versions of the waxjs library prior to 1.2.1 are now deprecated. If you want to continue using the WAX Cloud Wallet, please be sure to upgrade the waxjs library to the latest version within 30 days. Upgrading is easy and you can find all the information you need in the documentation provided by the waxjs library developers.
We know that upgrading takes time, so during the 30-day upgrade period, both the old and new versions will work normally. However, in order to avoid any problems, we strongly recommend that you upgrade to the latest version as soon as possible. After the 30-day upgrade period, the old version will no longer be usable.
To ensure that your Web3 applications continue to run properly, we recommend that you upgrade your waxjs library to the latest version as soon as possible by following the documentation provided by the waxjs library developers.
