Binance is the exchange with the highest participation from traders worldwide. Whether in spot or derivatives (futures), it boasts a dominant first place in trading volume.
In the last 24 hours, compared to the second-largest exchange, spot trading showed about 5 times and futures about 3 times more trading volume. As emphasized repeatedly, trading volume signifies trading stability.
The lower the trading volume of an exchange, the higher the likelihood of slippage. Major coins like Bitcoin have less concern regarding this, but for altcoins with lower trading volumes, there may be instances where orders are executed at prices several levels lower than expected.
Especially for those engaged in futures trading using leverage, extra caution is needed. A small price difference can lead to significant losses. To mitigate these risks, it is advisable to use exchanges with ample liquidity, such as Binance.
Binance fee structure

What is the fee structure at Binance? Binance's trading fees are relatively low. Fees are set differently for makers and takers.
Maker provides liquidity through limit orders, while taker immediately matches existing quotes with market orders. The fees for spot and futures are as follows.
Category Spot Futures
Maker (Limit Order) 0.010% 0.020%
Taker (Market Order) 0.010% 0.050%
Maker using BNB 0.075% 0.018%
Taker using BNB 0.075% 0.045%
You can receive discounts of up to 25% for spot and 10% for futures. Especially, to receive a discount on futures trading fees using BNB, you must first transfer BNB to your futures wallet.
Three ways to receive a fee discount

Raising VIP level
The first method is to raise your VIP level. For example, if you reach VIP level 1 based on futures trading, you can receive an additional 20% discount on fees.
To achieve VIP level 1, the trading volume over 30 days must be over 15,000,000 USD. While this is a significant amount, it is a viable condition for high-frequency short-term traders.
Using BNB
The second method is to use BNB. If you hold at least 50 BNB, a fee discount will be applied.
In the PC dashboard or app settings menu, select 'Using BNB' to check and set the discount application.
If you want to receive a discount on futures trading fees, you must first open a futures account.
Using referral code
The last method is to enter a referral code.
