PANews reported on February 28 that according to Bloomberg, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that Meta will form a top product development group to focus on content-generating AI technology. Zuckerberg said that there were many teams researching generative AI technology within Meta, and now the management has begun to integrate these technical teams together to form a new product group with the goal of developing a wonderful product experience around this technology.
Zuckerberg said that Meta's long-term goal is to develop AI robots that can help consumers in various ways, but at the current stage, Meta is developing product experiences related to text (that is, its two major mobile chat tools WhatsApp and Messenger), pictures (such as creative special effects and advertising products in Instagram), videos, and mixed multi-mode experiences.
The popularity of ChatGPT has once again triggered an AI war in the technology industry. OpenAI, which is backed by Microsoft, released ChatGPT, which can both talk and write. Stimulated by ChatGPT, technology companies such as Alphabet and Baidu announced that they will launch their own similar AI conversation robots.
