Cryptocurrency exchange CoinEx will stop providing services to U.S. users, according to an email received by users, Cryptoslate reported. The email stated that “Due to regulatory requirements, CoinEx can no longer provide services to U.S. citizens or residents.” CoinEx has asked U.S. users to withdraw assets within 60 working days (before April 24) and said it will "gradually ban relevant accounts" after that. CoinEx identifies US users by IP address. According to previous news, New York State Attorney General Letitia James sued CoinEx, claiming that it sold commodities and securities without being registered in New York State. The petition aims to prevent CoinEx from engaging in unauthorized activities in the state and hopes to block New York IP addresses from using the exchange.
