Millions of Dollars Hacked in Altcoin: Price Drops Due to Theft!

Nervos Network’s (CKB) cross-chain bridge named Force Bridge was attacked by hackers, resulting in the theft of cryptocurrency assets worth approximately 3 million dollars.

The cryptocurrency markets began the day with a new hacker attack. The security analysis platform Cyvers Alerts announced that the Force Bridge, developed by Nervos Network, which provides asset transfers between different blockchain networks, was attacked. According to initial findings, assets worth approximately 3 million dollars were stolen in the attack.

Among the stolen assets are 257,800 USDT, 539 ETH (1.35 million dollars), 898,300 USDC, 60,400 DAI, and approximately 0.79 Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC). The hackers immediately converted the stolen assets to Ethereum (ETH) and then transferred them to the popular cryptocurrency mixer platform Tornado Cash to cover their tracks.

Singapore-based Magickbase announced that it has temporarily suspended Force Bridge services following the incident and launched a wide-ranging investigation. The platform was previously set to be completely shut down in November 2025 due to a lack of users and high costs. This made the timing of the attack even more noteworthy.

The recent increase in hacker attacks on DeFi bridges has led to a re-examination of the security vulnerabilities of such protocols. In the attacks on Ronin Bridge and Wormhole that occurred in 2022, losses of 600 million dollars and 323 million dollars were experienced, respectively.

Following the attack, the price of Nervos Network (CKB) sharply dropped, starting the day with a 12% loss, and is currently trading at 0.004088 dollars.
