Odaily Planet Daily News Solana validators are trying to restore network speed by rolling back to an older version of the software, and the repair process may take several hours. Resetting the network is currently seen as a "last resort" to restore the network. (CoinDesk) As previously reported, the Solana network experienced a fork event that limited users' ability to perform transactions. At around 2 a.m. Eastern Time today, the network processed about 93 transactions per second, far lower than the network rate of nearly 5,000 TPS about 15 minutes ago. Such a low throughput has prohibited users from conducting on-chain transactions and transfers on Solana. "It should be clear that the Solana network is still confirming blocks, but validators are at risk of running out of memory before determining the root cause of the fork," validator operator SolBlaze said in the Discord channel. In the Discord channel established to coordinate work, validators and Solana engineers are discussing a range of options, including a possible network restart or software downgrade. As of press time, they have not reached a consensus.
