According to the Shanghai Securities News, the China Securities Regulatory Commission issued a letter on February 24 in response to Proposal No. 03009 (No. 199 in the Finance and Taxation Category) of the Fifth Session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. It was proposed that according to the "Notice on Issuing the List of National Blockchain Innovation Application Pilots" (Secret Letter of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Office [2022] No. 72), the People's Bank of China and the China Securities Regulatory Commission actively cooperated with the Central Cyberspace Affairs Office to carry out the national blockchain innovation application pilot work, and took the lead in establishing the national "blockchain + equity market" and "blockchain + trade finance" special field pilots. At present, the application pilot work is being carried out in an orderly manner. In the next step, the People's Bank of China and the China Securities Regulatory Commission will strengthen organizational leadership, focus on coordinated promotion, further strengthen capacity building, and effectively promote the innovative application of blockchain technology in the financial field.
