Odaily Planet Daily News: According to a court document filed on Wednesday, U.S. District Court Judge Maxine M. Chesney of the Northern District of California dismissed a class action lawsuit against the centralized protocol Maker, which claimed that investors suffered approximately $8 million in losses due to Maker's misrepresentation of risks. The judge said that the Maker Ecosystem Growth Foundation was not a suitable defendant because it had been dissolved and therefore had no ability to be sued, and that the plaintiff failed to present facts sufficient to support each of its claims. Earlier news, a class action lawsuit filed by investors in April 2020 claimed that Maker-related entities, including the Maker Ecosystem Growth Foundation, misrepresented collateralized debt positions on the platform as safer investments than other assets because they were overcollateralized.
