For a long time, NFT trading platform Magic Eden has been working closely with innovative game studios with a long-term vision for Web3 games. They believe that Web3 games will become the entry point for millions of users to enter the blockchain, promote blockchain into the mainstream, and make the technology widely adopted. Therefore, after completing a $130 million Series B financing at a valuation of $1.6 billion last June, Magic Eden immediately used part of the funds for the construction of the Web3 game industry and launched Magic Eden Ventures (formerly Magic Ventures) focusing on Web3 games the following month.
On February 23, Magic Eden announced its investment in 11 Web3 game studios on its official blog. These project teams include both Web3 native practitioners and developers with traditional game backgrounds. By establishing partnerships with game studios, Magic Eden can not only help games launch NFT projects, but also attract and acquire users, and support game infrastructure through in-game markets. In this article, PANews will briefly introduce these 11 studios and their games. Perhaps one of them will become a hit in the future.
Blockstars
Blockstars is an immersive management simulation game with music as its theme. Players can form a band called Blockstars in the game, then create, record and release singles, and package popular songs into albums for street performances. If players earn enough money in the early stage, they can also create their own record company, allowing other players to join and cultivate the next generation of Blockstar stars, thus achieving a new game cycle.
In addition to competing with other players on the music charts, gamers have a variety of ways to compete, win, and make money. Winners of limited-time events in various competitions will be rewarded with $ROC, which is issued based on the Solana blockchain. $ROC is used for major game operations such as minting, buying and selling Blockstars and other in-game NFT assets, and participating in governance. There is also another in-game utility currency called $ROL in the game, which is used for daily basic game operations.
Bravo Ready/BR1:INFINITE
The AAA game "BR1:INFINITE" is the world's first risk-based shooting game, featuring the "Kill-to-Earn" concept. The main gameplay of this game is similar to that of "Battle Royale" games. After entering the game, players will be scattered on an island with a diameter of 3 kilometers. As they move towards the center of the island, they can obtain weapons, ammunition and equipment to strengthen themselves. The game has no time limit, and players can only leave the game when they are confirmed dead or survive to the end.
Unlike other games, players need to choose "risk mode" before entering the game, which is different game modes, including free entry-level servers, $0.25 servers, $1.00 servers, and $5.00 servers. In the paid mode game, players will receive rewards paid in $USDC for each kill of other players. The rewards are divided into two standards, and the actual income is based on the higher one. The eliminated players will only retain 85% of the denominated income. For example, if they have $20.00 $USDC when they are eliminated, they will retain $17.00 $USDC and be kicked out of the game.
BR1:INFINITE was developed by Bravo Ready, the game studio behind the game Mini Arena. Bravo Ready also provides a range of products and services on the infrastructure side of Magic Eden’s business and licenses the Kill-to-Earn IP to Magic Eden, white-labeling its games and tools and developing marketing strategies for other games.

In the game, players manage their bee colonies and land by playing the role of beekeepers. When players earn HONEY and NFTs, they can use them to develop and strengthen their bee colonies, buy more land, participate in the Honeyland economy, or convert them into cryptocurrency.
Honeyland will launch the game token HONEY ($HXD) in March, with a total supply of 1 billion. HONEY can be obtained through in-game activities, or purchased or traded through the decentralized exchange (DEX) Raydium. Players will use it to purchase the most useful items and unique NFTs in the game to strengthen their colonies, perform certain in-game operations such as breeding or fusing bees, and can be used in missions, activities, and games. In addition, HONEY can be pledged to unlock opportunities in the game, allowing players to obtain special missions, drops, and exclusive in-game activities, and manage the decision-making and development of the project.
Lucky Kat / Panzerdogs
Lucky Kat is a game studio from the Netherlands, whose games have been downloaded more than 200 million times in the app store. The team's first Web3 game is Panzerdogs, a play & earn PVP tank combat game. The game has recently been tested on iOS and Android platforms in multiple countries and attracted more than 50,000 users in a short period of time. By fighting in PanzerPass, players will earn tokens or other prizes.
Panzerdogs uses a dual token model: the first token ($BOLT) is primarily earned through playing the game, and this currency is used to obtain low-rarity tank parts and tanks through crafting and unboxing.
