President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) protested against the price of the gas cylinder. In an agenda in Mato Grosso, Lula told rural residents that gas (GLP) comes from Petrobras at R$ 37 and, in his view, there is no reason for the cylinder to reach people's homes at prices ranging from R$ 110 to R$ 130.
“Do you know how much a gas cylinder (GLP) from Petrobras costs? It is sold to companies for R$ 37. There is no explanation for it to reach the people at R$ 120 or R$ 130. Someone is making a lot of money,” lamented Lula.
After the protest, the president of Brazil reiterated the promise made in February of this year: to guarantee 22 million people, in CadÚnico, free gas. He promised to announce this measure still in the month of May, because, in June, he guaranteed that he would implement the policy.
Promise
Lula made the promise of free gas during the launch of the Solo Vivo Program, in Campo Verde (MT), this Saturday (24/5), accompanied by ministers Carlos Fávaro (Agriculture and Livestock) and Paulo Teixeira (Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture).
