The dominance of BTC is at a crucial stage — it will be decided here whether there will be an altcoin season or not
In recent days, Ethereum and altcoins have shown strong growth relative to Bitcoin. However, BTC dominance (BTC.D) has sharply fallen and is stuck in the middle of the range.
Now, two scenarios are possible:
🔺 If BTC dominance increases again, it will mean that the growth of ETH/BTC and altcoins was just a short squeeze, and Bitcoin will return to market dominance.
🔻 But if altcoins show sustained strength against BTC and dominance starts to decline (almost down to the 60% mark), this will be a serious signal for the start of the altcoin season (a phase of strong altcoin growth).
At the moment, the market is in a wait-and-see mode, anticipating the next move from BTC. Opening a large position in ALT/BTC in the short term is quite risky. The best approach is to observe and wait for a confirming signal.
