#TradeStories - The painful lesson of shorting against the trend – Don’t let emotions control your trading
Yesterday, I had to learn an expensive lesson when trying to short FARTCOIN in a strongly rising market. Thinking I had caught the 'peak', I kept entering large positions with high leverage. As a result, the market moved completely against my expectations, causing me to lose over 600 USDT in just a few hours.
This is a wake-up call for those who are still complacent or overly confident when trading Futures. Trading against the trend is no different from gambling with the market – and most of the time, you will be the one who loses. Always carefully analyze the trend, set reasonable stop-losses, and don’t let greed or ego overshadow your rationality.
