Binance Announced Stakestone Airdrop for BNB Holders. This airdrop offers a chance for BNB holders to receive tokens participating in Binance’s Simple Earn products.
Since the token is now listed on Binance so let’s explore $STO
What is Stakestone?
StakeStone is a decentralized liquidity infrastructure protocol designed to optimize yield generation and liquidity distribution across blockchain networks. It's solutions, including LiquidityPad and yield-bearing ETH/BTC assets, empower liquidity providers with efficient earning opportunities while meeting the specialized liquidity needs of ecosystems and protocols.
StakeStone's Products
Yield-bearing and liquid ETH / BTC assets, including STONE, SBTC, and STONEBTC.
STONE

STONE is the stable, yield-bearing liquid ETH powered by an adaptive staking network that supports various risk-free consensus layers. By integrating adaptable underlying yield strategies through an on-chain proposal mechanism("OPAP"), StakeStone ensures yield opportunities are optimized while omnichain liquidity is seamlessly redistributed across ecosystems and protocols.
SBTC and STONEBTC

SBTC is a liquid, index BTC designed to enhance the usability of wrapped custodial BTC derivatives by leveraging its inherent redemption liquidity to provide robust omnichain liquidity.
STONEBTC

STONEBTC is a yield-bearing BTC derivative designed to unlock the full earning potential of Bitcoin holdings while maintaining seamless liquidity across DeFi ecosystems. By integrating advanced BTC yield strategies across (DeFi, CeDeFi, and RWA), STONEBTC allows users to earn sustainable yields without sacrificing flexibility or utility.

LiquidityPad
StakeStone LiquidityPad is an omnichain liquidity platform designed to help blockchain ecosystems and protocols launch customized liquidity fundraising strategies. By leveraging StakeStone's yield-generating infrastructure and Ethereum's deep liquidity, LiquidityPad enables efficient liquidity acquisition tailored to the unique needs of each ecosystem. As an on-chain liquidity distribution hub, LiquidityPad seamlessly channels liquidity from Ethereum to specialized blockchains while optimizing capital deployment for ecosystem growth.

They raised a total of $10.95M funds for 4 projects.

Governance
The STO token is central to StakeStone’s governance. Users can lock STO to receive veSTO, which grants voting power. For example, veSTO holders decide how to allocate liquidity incentives across STONE-Fi, BTC-Fi, and LiquidityPad pools. They also receive yield boosts based on their locked tokens.
The governance system includes:
Bribe system: Protocols deposit STO or partner tokens to attract liquidity. STO bribes are partially burned, reducing token supply, while partner token bribes diversify the protocol’s treasury.Swap mechanism: STO holders can exchange tokens for treasury assets (e.g., partner tokens) when arbitrage opportunities arise, creating value and maintaining deflationary pressure.Vesting: Converting veSTO back to STO requires a 30-day vesting period, encouraging long-term commitment.
STO Token Usecase
Liquid Staking of ETH
Users can stake ETH through StakeStone and receive STONE, a yield-bearing token.
Cross-Chain Liquidity and Composability
STONE is omnichain, enabled via LayerZero. This means it can be moved between Ethereum L1 and multiple L2s (like Arbitrum, Optimism, Scroll) as well as emerging Bitcoin L2s.
DeFi users can transfer STONE across chains for yield farming, lending, trading, and other DeFi strategies.
Yield Optimization via OPAP Mechanism
StakeStone allocates ETH to the most optimal restaking and staking opportunities (e.g., EigenLayer, Lido). This automated portfolio optimization allows users to earn more compared to static staking protocols.
Collateral in DeFi Protocols
STONE can be used as collateral in various DeFi applications such as lending platforms, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), and yield aggregators.
Users can borrow stablecoins or other tokens using STONE without selling their staking rewards.
Participation in Airdrop and Ecosystem Incentives
Users can lock or use STONE across different chains to qualify for airdrops.
StakeStone’s Omnichain Carnival distributes rewards for holding, locking, or using STONE across partner ecosystems.
Project Partners
As per reports a striking $23M has been secured via various investment drives led notably by YZI Labs, Polychain Capital, and OKX Ventures, exhibiting steadfast investor conviction behind StakeStone’s potential.
