A historical transaction was performed on January 6 where someone purchased 27 BTC from cryptocurrency exchange Binance and sent it to Satoshi Nakamoto’s wallet address 1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa.

The news spread quickly in the crypto community, with most people anticipating the return of Satoshi Nakamoto, the father of Bitcoin. Some are speculating whether this is actually Satoshi Nakamoto or if someone just transferred 27 Bitcoins worth over $1 million, putting the adoption and growth of Bitcoin into the spotlight.

The deal coincides with a spot Bitcoin ETF issuer update on amendment 19b-4, which suggests a spot Bitcoin ETF could receive U.S. SEC approval next week. BlackRock, Grayscale, Fidelity, Ark 21Shares, Bitwise, VanEck, Valkyrie, Invesco Galaxy, Hashdex, WisdomTree, and Franklin Templeton are all vying for spot Bitcoin ETF approval.
