A hacker compromised the ZKsync administrator account and generated $5 million in tokens $ZK . This information appeared in an official announcement from the project team.
The perpetrator exploited a vulnerability in the sweepUnclaimed() function to create 111 million tokens, which increased the total issuance by 0.45%. ZKsync stated that the account through which the tokens were generated had administrative access to three contracts for distributing the airdrop. According to them, users' funds were not affected.
