TL;DR

1/ Dolphin test network entrance: https://app.manta.network/dolphin/transact;

2/ Manta Signer is used to quickly generate ZK proofs, which can shorten the ZK interaction time to 2-5 seconds. It may be the fastest ZK interaction experience on the entire network.

Interactive Dolphin V3, requires downloading or updating Manta Signer;

3/ Please go to the official Discord Faucet channel (https://discord.com/invite/mantanetwork) to receive the test coin faucet.

4/ When receiving the faucet, please enter the command /gimme in the channel, "address" will appear in the chat window, and enter the Polkadot wallet address in address to receive test coins.

What is Dolphin Testnet V3?

Dolphin is the MantaPay test network, which aims to invite the community to participate in testing and optimize the product experience before MantaPay is officially launched.

MantaPay is a privacy transfer protocol created by Manta Network based on zero-knowledge proof (ZK) technology, and will soon be launched on Calamari. (Related reading: "Interview with Shumo, co-founder of Manta Network: Building infrastructure for zero-knowledge proof applications")

Dolphin V3 is the last test version before MantaPay is officially launched.

Currently, version V3 has been officially launched and you can participate in the experience through the link: https://app.manta.network/dolphin/transact.

When participating in the test, fill in https://gleam.io/Pq9JR/mantapay-incentivized-testnet-v3 to have a chance to get rewards.

Dolphin V3 functions include: privacy transfer zkTransact, cross-chain bridge Bridge, and governance Govern.

Privacy transfer zkTransact, based on ZK technology, supports users to convert public assets and addresses into privacy assets zkAssets and privacy addresses zkAddress.

The cross-chain bridge Bridge connects assets through the Kusama cross-chain communication protocol XCM. It currently supports Kusama, Karura (Acala), and Moonriver (Moonbeam) network assets.

Importantly, this means Dolphin can bridge ERC20 assets with the Metamask wallet via Moonriver.

Last week, we paused the Dolphin testnet V2 version to prepare for the launch of V3.

V2 was released on May 24 this year and ran for about 6 months. 22,520 independent addresses participated in the test and generated more than 180,000 transactions.

We expect Dolphin V3 to be operational for only a short time. After that, MantaPay will be launched on the Calamari network.

After MantaPay goes live, Manta may continue to release new features on Dolphin, conduct testing, and then release the new features to the Calamari network and to the Manta mainnet in the future.

How to participate in Dolphin V3 testing?

1. Register a Polkadot wallet

You can choose one of the following methods:

1/ https://polkadot.js.org/

2/ https://subwallet.app/

3/ https://www.talisman.xyz/

2. Get test coins

1/ Enter the official Discord and find the Faucet channel. https://discord.com/invite/mantanetwork

2/ Enter the "/gimme" command, "address" will appear in the chat window, and enter the Polkadot wallet address in address to receive test coins.

3. Download or update Manta Signer

Open https://app.manta.network/dolphin/transact , click “Connect Signer” in the upper right corner, and enter the Manta Signer download page (https://signer.manta.network/). After the installation is complete, save the mnemonic.

Go back to the upper right corner of the page and connect Signer. Manta Signer is used to quickly generate ZK proofs, which can shorten the ZK interaction time to 2-5 seconds, which may be the fastest ZK interaction experience on the entire network.

4. Interaction

Experience zkTransact and Bridge (if you click on the upper right corner and are prompted to download when connecting to Signer, you will need to wait for a while and Signer will automatically connect). Click “View on explorer” in the upper right corner. The Transaction information that needs to be filled in Gleam can be found here.
