U.S. President Donald Trump's global response on Wednesday triggered a new wave of risk aversion across financial markets, increasing demand for traditional safe-haven Gold. China is the most heavily affected by the U.S. 104% tariff, escalating U.S.-China trade tensions.

In contrast to this trend, gold prices in India increased in line with gold prices on the Comex exchange on Wednesday.

At the time of reporting, gold is rising to 8,397.62 Indian Rupees (INR) per gram, up from Tuesday's trading close of 8,301.88 INR, according to data compiled by FXStreet.
