$BERA's price has halved from the start of mining to now 6.x -> 3.x

Fortunately, the main purpose at that time was not mining, but rather for future airdrops.

Therefore, the coins mined through participating in protocols like Infrared, Kodiak, BEX, Berapaw, Origami, Smilee, etc., were all BERA that was borrowed against collateral.

As a result, the halving drop of BERA has not affected me at all, which is a relief.

However, BERA's market capitalization has plummeted, and the TVL has decreased by 19.41% in the last 7 days (likely due to the drop in coin price).

As the leader of Berachain, this performance raises questions about whether its ecological protocols dare to TGE in the near future; even if they do, the upper limit won't be very high.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket. I have also been looking at some other protocols and projects these days, and I plan to shift my attention to Sonic Chain going forward.

Currently, its native currency $S has a market cap of 1.1 billion (fully diluted 1.2 billion), while $BERA currently sits at 368 million (fully diluted 1.7 billion).

Sonic Chain and Berachain should be the current twin giants of DeFi public chains, and the situation on both sides is roughly similar, with several leading protocols yet to TGE.

The current market situation is still not good; when participating in Sonic's DeFi protocols, I will still consider borrowing to participate, but I might buy a bit of $S.

Berachain will also continue mining, anyway, it’s about 50% APR for free.
