#ETH
I rarely post comments about Ethereum because many friends hold large positions.
In the last round, the big guy, the father of DeFi, even drove BTC to a height of 68,000. He is undoubtedly the top player of the last round.
However: Ethereum, born from DeFi, dies from DeFi.
DeFi has driven on-chain activity, spurred L2, led staking, encouraged re-staking, boosted stablecoins, and generated liquidity pools like CRV, UNI, SUSHI, AAVE, COMB, and even the MEME trend.
Why say it dies from DeFi? We all know that Ethereum's upgrade from POW mining to POS staking happened over the past two years. POS? Can you compete with Solana or Sui?
The most important reason is:
Does the Ethereum ecosystem lock up so much market liquidity that can never be released?
It is estimated that there are over 800 billion in dead assets, generating interest on-chain as tokens, accounting for one-third of the crypto market's assets.
Why don't users sell their dual-token staking assets, like OP, ARB, or LDO, PENDLE? Why do these high market cap projects continue to survive?
Because users are stuck at the peak, just like XRP and ADA have been in the top eleven by market cap for years; retail investors are unwilling to incur such massive losses by selling these assets, or they still have a glimmer of hope that they will soar again in the future.
I still remember a few years ago when XRP community fans supported and encouraged each other, many lost their lifelong savings on XRP, but they managed to hold on 💥😁
Many friends have played Rune, like DOGS RUNSTONE; why has no one played it? Because it's too cheap, and the vehicle is too heavy. The exchange is just a way to break even; who will use real money to drive up the price for you?
Now no one will help you break even on these worthless projects, and the only way out is an infinite drop until this garbage DeFi project goes to zero; retail investors will have to abandon their visions, and these trash VC projects will no longer be seen in the top 100 by market cap.
Ethereum is too awkward in this bull market; what use is DeFi now?
Ethereum below a thousand is probably visible, making people anxious, indeed!
