Shiba Inu's Shibarium Hits 1 Billion Transactions, But Why Is SHIB Still Down?

As part of its quest to go beyond meme coin status, Shibarium, Shiba Inu's layer-2 network, has reached one billion transactions. Shibarium grows due to constant activity and the Shiba Inu ecosystem's layer-2 network usage.

In August 2023, Shibarium launched, changing the meme cryptocurrency ecosystem. The layer-2 network aimed to speed up and minimize the cost of Ethereum blockchain Shiba Inu transactions. Shibarium has grown user involvement, smart contract implementations, and everyday transactions since debut.

Shibariumscan reports that total transactions have surpassed one billion, demonstrating the network's volume. Shibarium currently has 1,012,261,457 transactions in 10,284,922 blocks and 194,705,571 addresses.

During heavy crypto market activity, daily transaction volumes approach millions or tens of millions. The Shibarium network handled 2.75 million transactions in the last 24 hours and 4.11 million in the preceding 24. Despite the milestone and substantial transaction activity, SHIB has not made major price increases.

Why Does Shiba Inu Price Stumble and Hold Near $0.000012?
SHIB's price performance has been disappointing despite Shibarium's transaction milestone. Major Layer-2 network milestones have regularly spurred purchase activity since its deployment. Even minor changes during Shibarium's launch caused short-term price increases for SHIB.

However, Shibarium milestones no longer affect SHIB's price, and the enthusiasm has subsided. Shibarium is still a prominent element of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, but its effect on crypto investors and price action has decreased.

SHIB is down 9.4% in the last week and has been stuck at $0.000012. SHIB's price is in a tight drop due to minimal purchasing activity, and it might go below $0.000012. Shiba Inu is down 1.2% in 24 hours to $0.00001210.
