Binance, the largest crypto exchange in the world, announced on Thursday (21) the removal of 5 cryptocurrencies from its platform. According to the text, the decision involves several factors, including the commitment of the project team, trading volume, regulatory requirements, and others.
In addition to this, the exchange will also allow users to vote on other cryptocurrencies to be removed. In total, the community will be able to vote on 22 projects that were already on Binance's watchlist.
Due to the exposure that these cryptocurrencies have on Binance, given the size of the exchange, many of them are operating in significant decline, and some have already lost half of their value in the last 24 hours.
Binance will remove 5 cryptocurrencies
The first 5 cryptocurrencies will be removed by Binance as early as next Friday (28). They are:
Aergo (AERGO)
AirSwap (AST)
BurgerCities (BURGER)
COMBO (COMBO)
Linear Finance (LINA)
Data from CoinMarketCap shows that the smallest loss is for AERGO, dropping only 5.3%. However, LINA and BURGER plummeted after the announcement, falling 35% and 50.5%, respectively.
