Wu said that according to the Guinness World Records official website, CryptoPunk#5822has been recognized as the most expensive NFT collectible to date. The NFT was purchased by Deepak Thapliyal, CEO of blockchain technology startup Chain, for 8,000 ETH (worth $23.7 million) on February 12, 2022.
