First of all, I would like to say that what I will write here is not an absolute truth nor an investment recommendation. It is just a strategy that I am applying and that is working for me.
For some time now, I have been noticing that large cryptocurrencies are on an endless roller coaster. A constant rise and fall, and at the moment it seems they will spike, they end up crashing, leaving many investors desperate. Following this movement, gurus always emerge with phrases like 'The Altseason starts in 3 days!', further deceiving those who do not have much experience in the market.
The explanation for this is simple: behind the coins that are rising in the market — which are already known and have a large capitalization — are the whales. The more retail investors (like us) lose, the more they gain. While we are entering, they are already exiting with profit.
So, I thought: why not invest in coins before the whales to profit alongside them? The strategy I apply is simple:
I look for new coins, between 3 to 6 months old – If we analyze most charts, we will see that the price of cryptocurrencies tends to stabilize in the first three months. After six months, whales have usually had time to make their investments, and I do not want to enter when they are exiting with profit.
I study the project and its usability – If I see that the project has a practical application in daily life and a well-structured roadmap, that is a positive point.
Low Market Capitalization – I look for coins with low capitalization, as this indicates that whales probably have not entered yet.
I research the community – It doesn't matter if the project meets all other criteria if the community is not optimistic. If the investors themselves do not believe in the potential of the coin, it is likely that they will exit as soon as possible.
Here are examples of some coins that those who anticipated made a good profit:
ADA: Those who bought at its low in 2017 for approximately $0.018 and sold at its high in 2021 for $3 made 166 X;
SOMETHING: Those who bought at its low in 2019 for approximately $0.14 and sold at its high in 2021 for $2 made 15 X;
HBAR: Those who bought at its low in 2020 for approximately $0.01
and sold at its high in 2021 for $0.57, made 57 X.
By following this strategy, I get ahead of the whales. Thus, instead of losing money with their movements, I can be on the right side of the equation — and profit alongside.
