In this article, we’ll take a closer look at Captain & Company, Roach Racing Club, and Gigaverse, three popular games that have received official Spotlight badges and are not only fun to play, but also allow you to earn Abstract XP points at low or no cost!
Captain＆Company
Captain & Company is a pirate-themed MMORPG originally built on the Blast blockchain, and now expanded to the Abstract chain for more players to participate. Players need to act as the captain or crew member to defeat sea monsters and collect resources in the vast ocean, and they also need to always pay attention to whether there are other pirate ships approaching your ship with ill intentions.
Game Lobby
After entering the game, players can board the ship and start the battle directly at the red box in the picture below. Game operations will be displayed in the lower right corner of the screen (WSAD represents forward, backward, left, and right, respectively, and the space bar jumps).
Going to sea (battle)
At this time, players will be divided into two roles based on whether they hold ship NFTs:
Captain: Players holding NFTs can create a guild and become a captain, who needs to lead the crew to participate in naval battles.
Crew: Players who do not hold NFTs can join for free and become crew members, responsible for ship repairs, firing and other matters, and crew members can also receive various rewards through combat.
When the player boards the pirate ship, the picture he sees will be as shown in the picture below. There are three turrets on each side of the ship that can be used for attack, and there are cannonballs on the deck for players to fill the turrets. After going out to sea, players need to cooperate with each other to collect treasures as much as possible and resist foreign enemies.
Resources and Economic System
When players work together to kill enemy units such as sea monsters and pirate ships, treasure will drop at that location, and the treasure can only be picked up if the ship touches it. The treasure contains various resources (gold, Nuggets, blueprints, materials, mXP). Players need to accumulate resources by obtaining a large amount of treasure to further enhance the strength of their characters and pirate ships.
List of battles
During a battle, you can use the Esc key to open a list, which will show the number of loot you have collected, contribution points, maps, and other information. The list can help you decide whether you should drive to the extraction point to settle the account first or continue fighting on the map.

Whenever the pirate ship accumulates a certain amount of wealth, the captain can choose to sail the pirate ship to the extraction point (red beam). After arriving at this point, the system will distribute the materials currently collected according to the contribution value. This will ensure that players will not drop too much loot in PVP confrontations (if the pirate ship is sunk, 70% of the loot will be dropped).
Talent System
Each time a player's level is increased, they will gain some talent points. Talents are divided into three branches: tactics, demolition, and repair. Players can upgrade according to their gaming preferences, but I suggest concentrating the talent points on the same series. Take the following picture as an example. I put all my talent points on repair, and I can just focus on repairing the ship when I go out to sea.
mXP Exchange for Abstract XP
Players must go to KAP Games to bind their Abstract address before playing, otherwise points will not be converted. mXP earned in the game is an important channel for exchanging for Abstract XP. Players need to manually collect mXP points on the Captain & Company website before they can convert them.
mXP will be converted into a certain amount of Abstract XP every Tuesday, but the weekly conversion ratio will be adjusted dynamically. The official will distribute Abstract XP to individual players in proportion to the total mXP earned by the overall players that week. What is certain is that the more mXP you earn, the more Abstract XP you will get.
Travel experience
Captain＆Company is a multiplayer cooperative game. It is recommended to select a good pirate ship (with a large number of people and all active) before playing, otherwise a single player will not be able to take care of driving the ship, firing the cannon, repairing the ship, etc. at the same time.
Based on gaming experience, most players prefer tasks like sailing and firing cannons, which is why when I mentioned talents above, I chose to specialize in ship repair skills. Since players will divide up rewards based on contribution points, let's cooperate with each other and work hard to find the big treasure!
Roach Racing Club
Roach Racing Club is a racing game that runs on the Abstract blockchain and combines gaming with transactions. The game is based on the theme of "Cockroach Racing" and players participate in the competition by guessing the real-time trend of a certain cryptocurrency (such as BTC, ETH). The top three players can receive MTGN points as rewards.
Game Home
The game homepage has three functions:
Home page: Check current stamina, upgrade cockroaches, and start a match.
Friends: By inviting friends, you can get 10% of the points earned by your friends as a reward.
Missions: Completing various social missions will earn you in-game points (MTGN).
Game screen and gameplay
When the game starts, players can guess the rise and fall of the price through the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons in the lower right corner. If the player guesses correctly, the cockroach's running speed will increase, thereby surpassing the opponent. If the player guesses incorrectly, the cockroach's running speed will slow down and it will be easily overtaken by the opponent. The greater the price fluctuation during the guessing period and the further away from the player's guessed price, the greater the impact will be.
MTGN Points Usage
MTGN earned from games and missions are very important for the game and are mainly used for the following three functions:
Restore Stamina: When your stamina is exhausted, you need to consume MTGN to restore it before you can proceed to the next game.
Upgrade your roaches: MTGN lets you upgrade your roaches’ endurance and recovery speed, helping you play more games.
Potential airdrop: The token economics mentions that $RRC tokens may be launched as the core token of the game in the future, but it does not explain how to participate in the airdrop. It is inferred that it may be obtained through MTGN points.
Loot Boxes NFT
There are blind boxes available for players to purchase on Magic Eden. At the time of writing, the floor price is about 0.055 ETH. The contents of the blind boxes will be randomly distributed from the following props:
DNA modification tools: exclusive genes for breeding and trading rare cockroaches.
Wearable NFT: Create a unique cockroach appearance.
Cockroach Potion: An item that can be used to strengthen cockroaches in future betting features.
Freezer: Special equipment used to maintain cockroaches.
However, I do not recommend spending money to buy NFT blind boxes. After all, according to current information, it is not certain when the Roach Racing Club will airdrop. The main goal is still to earn Abstract XP points for free.
Travel experience
First, pay attention to whether the majority of players in the same field stop at a low multiplier (1~2x) or have to strive for a high multiplier before stopping, and do the same with them. The advantage of this is that when most players are trying to get a low multiplier, as long as you are lucky enough to predict a high multiplier, you can widen the distance until the end; and when most players are trying to get a high multiplier, as long as the market does not fluctuate within a small range as they expected, you can rely on several small accelerations to widen the distance.
Gigaverse
Gigaverse is a role-playing (RPG) game developed by the GLHFers team and built on the Abstract blockchain. The game content combines classic RPG mechanisms with modern blockchain innovations, hoping to provide players with an infinitely expandable game universe and continuously expand the game content.
Casting Role
Before the game starts, players need to spend 0.00369 ETH (about 8 US dollars) to create a character of their own.
Enter the game
After players own NFT, they will be born in a dungeon. At this time, they can use the mouse to control the movement of the character. The bottles and jars displayed near the character currently have no tools to break.
At this point, players may be curious as to why there are no destructible items or monsters in the dungeon? We can first move the character to the bottom of the map until we find the lever in the picture below and turn it, then move to the top of the map to enter the dungeon challenge.
Instances
When players open the portal, they will find that Gigaverse has two copies to challenge:
Normal Mode: Each game consumes 40 stamina, and the gameplay is similar to "Rock, Paper, Scissors". Swords restrain magic, magic restrains shields, and shields restrain swords. When the two sides are tied, no major damage will be caused. Players will have the opportunity to enhance their abilities after each victory, so they must prioritize strengthening the abilities that their characters lack.
Gigus Mode: In this mode, players will face more powerful enemies, and the drops will be rarer than Normal Mode. However, due to its high difficulty, it is recommended to participate in the later stages.
Players can repeatedly clear Normal Mode materials, permanently upgrade their characters' abilities through the materials, and gradually advance to higher difficulty levels. It can be seen from the stamina value in the upper right corner that the current upper limit of the character's stamina is only 240 points, which is not enough to challenge Normal Mode 10 times in a row. Therefore, it is recommended that players focus on Normal Mode and improving character abilities in the early stages.
Gigaverse ROMs NFT
Also on Magic Eden, there are Gigaverse-exclusive NFTs for players to purchase. Users who purchase ROMs NFTs will be able to use them to increase the character's energy limit and challenge more copies. At the time of writing, the NFT floor price is about 0.09 ETH, which is not cheap. If you simply want to earn Abstract XP points, it is recommended to continue playing with the minted character.
Future Development
The official has announced on Discord that an equipment crafting system will be launched in the future, which will be used to enhance character abilities to help players advance dungeon progress. The game is still in its early stages, so you may as well earn Abstract XP points while participating in the game ecosystem.
Travel experience
In the early stage, you should use up your daily physical strength until it reaches zero, and continue to challenge dungeons to earn materials to improve your character's abilities. After the character's abilities are upgraded, players will obviously feel that the dungeon levels are easier to advance.
Abstract Comparison of three games
All three games can earn Abstract XP points and ambush game airdrops at the same time. Players who have time may wish to play three games every day to accumulate as many airdrop shares as possible.
