In GameFi, it's not that simple to know how many people are actually playing a game. Although most platforms use UAW (unique wallet address) as the main metric for GameFi projects, in reality, this metric does not tell us how active, popular or sustainable a blockchain game is.
In regular gaming, we define a player as someone who boots up a console or logs in and starts a game.
Defining GameFi users is a different kind of challenge. In fact, we have no very intuitive way to define and distinguish these users who interact with the game contract.
Compared to gamers, GameFi users may be like DeFi users and earn income simply by playing games.
