Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, backed Michael Saylor's prediction that Bitcoin will reach $13 million per coin in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on November 20, 2024.

Kiyosaki wrote: $13 million for Bitcoin... according to Michael Saylor. I think he's right. He's a very smart guy.

He also compared the future potential of Bitcoin to the cost of traditional education, adding: Bitcoin is worth $90,000 today. If Saylor is right... which I think he is... that means that for $9,000 today, you can buy 0.01 Bitcoin, and you'll be a millionaire tomorrow.

How can Bitcoin reach $13 million?

Kiyosaki's statement came after a discussion between Saylor and Patrick Bet-David, in which the latter questioned the long-term valuation of MicroStrategy, which has been renamed Strategy.

According to Bet-David's calculations, if Bitcoin reaches $13 million, Strategy could grow into a $10 trillion company within the next two decades.

Saylor defended this prediction, explaining the mathematical basis for it: Divide 13 million by 90,000, and you get a big number.

He noted that if global adoption of Bitcoin increased from 0.1% today to 7%, demand would skyrocket, leading to a huge price jump. Given that the total supply of Bitcoin is capped at just 21 million coins, such a level of adoption could push prices into the millions per coin.

If Bitcoin reaches $13 million, owning 0.01 Bitcoin today for $9,000 would be worth $130,000 in the future.

Bitcoin vs MBA: Which is More Valuable?

Kiyosaki also criticized student debt, suggesting that investing in Bitcoin may be a smarter financial decision than taking out a loan to study for an MBA.

He wrote: It's much better to invest in Bitcoin than to go into $50,000 in student loan debt... then spend years studying... just to get a worthless MBA. Be smart... buy Bitcoin today. I did it.

Kiyosaki noted that the cost of an MBA at prestigious American universities ranges from $50,000 to $200,000. At Harvard Business School, tuition is $84,000 per year, or about $168,000 for two years. At Stanford, the masterโ€™s program costs $82,000 per year with similar total expenses.

Many graduates leave school with debts ranging from $66,000 to $120,000, with no guarantee of a return on investment.

Kiyosaki suggested that instead of taking on massive student loans to earn a degree that may not lead to financial success, investing $9,000 today to buy 0.01 Bitcoin may be a wiser financial decision in the long run.

Can Bitcoin Reach $13 Million?

Bitcoin has already risen 87% over the past year, but reaching $13 million would require a radical shift in the global financial system.

Saylor's forecasts are based on several key factors, including:

  • Major Institutions Adopt Bitcoin.

  • Hyperinflation of paper money.

  • The demand for Bitcoin is increasing due to its scarcity.
