The President of the country launched a Memecoin and rugged it by -90% in a day.
Sounds funny, but this actually happened with CAR President Faustin Touadéra – he made over $100M.
The project's MC reached 1/5 of CAR’s entire GDP and here’s how it really went down.
The whole story started when FA_Touadera – the President of CAR posted a tweet about launching the memecoin CAR.
MC at the time of the post was around $500k and started growing exponentially due to hot liquidity.
The result of nearly $900M MC was achieved in just 4 hours.
Diving into a more detailed on-chain analysis of the project, it becomes clear that 95% of the tokens were bundled.
Additionally, 80% of the token supply was stored in 6 different wallets linked to the creator.
Just based on these two factors, it’s clear that this is both a SCAM and a RUG combined.
But the circus didn’t end there – the website hosted on gmgnai was full of viruses.
If you visited it or interacted with anything, I recommend checking your system for infections.
On top of that, the project's official Twitter page was quickly suspended.
But digging even deeper, it becomes clear that FA_Touadera was likely just used for personal gain.
The website domain was registered only 3 days before launch – not something you'd expect from an official project.
Also, the video announcement of the #memecoin launch from the president is being tracked as a deepfake by some platforms.
The launch also happened very late relative to local time – another strange detail.
You could list endless red flags, but all of this still doesn’t change the fact that this is an OBVIOUS SCAM.
The hot market blindly rushes into even the most obvious rugs, where even the promised 20.7% in LP was never sent.
$TRUMP clearly set the trend for everything happening now.
