The initial supply of the PureDai governance token will be 2 billion. This initial supply will be distributed to NewStable miners on the Ethereum mainnet over the course of five years. The token will be permanently distributed to PureDai vault users to subsidize the generation of PureDai. The surplus of PureDai will be used to accumulate PureDai governance tokens through a smart destruction engine. The PureDai governance token will play a backup role when bad debts occur in PureDai.
In previous news, Rune had announced that he would launch the stablecoin PureDai, which remains faithful to the original vision of the protocol, outside of NewStable.
