According to BlockBeats, Tether has minted 2 billion USDT on the Ethereum network in two transactions within a span of five hours. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that the 2 billion USDT is a replenishment of the Ethereum network inventory. This is an authorized but unissued transaction, which means that the newly minted tokens will be used for the next issuance request and cross-chain exchange inventory.
