According to BlockBeats, on February 26th, the second capital call and governance update proposal (MIP-29) by Mantle EcoFund was opened for community voting, as shown on the Snapshot voting page. The proposal, jointly submitted by Mirana Ventures and the core contributor team of Mantle, aims to update the situation of the $100 million Mantle EcoFund established under MIP-24 authorization, review the $10 million investment of the first capital call, and propose changes to the existing governance process and expansion of investment authorization scope.

The proposal includes a second capital call of $30 million (in USDC), to be allocated from the Mantle treasury. It also suggests expanding the investment scope of the Mantle EcoFund to selectively invest in accelerators, incubators, startup studios, and funds, promoting the growth of high-quality, innovative early-stage projects within the Mantle ecosystem. The voting on the proposal will end on March 4th.
