John Harney, CEO of crypto mining company Layer1 Technologies, and DGF Investments Inc have recently filed a lawsuit against two other board members of Layer1, including co-founder Jakov Dolic and Tobias Ebel.

The lawsuit alleges that both Dolic and Ebel took advantage of a power vacuum at Layer1's equity parent Enigma to seize control of the company and operate it as "their own private fiefdom." Harney and DGF Investments Inc, which owns a majority stake in Enigma, claim the defendants "usurped the authority of Layer 1 CEO" and prevented Harney from "operating Layer 1 responsibly."

One of the charges against Dolic and Ebel alleges that they executed “large-scale unauthorized transactions” that were not recorded in Layer1’s financial reports and that they used Layer1’s business to mine bitcoin and pocket the profits.

The plaintiffs also claim that Dolic continues to falsely claim that he owns 77% of Layer1. (Cointelegraph)
