Binance has announced the appointment of Kyrylo Khomiakov as the Regional Head for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and Central Asia. Kyrylo, the current General Manager for CEE, will now spearhead teams across these regions, with an emphasis on augmenting Binance's offerings of products and services, enhancing market presence, driving education initiatives, developing fiat channels, and optimizing user experiences.

Kyrylo will also be pivotal in reinforcing Binance's industry prowess, guiding marketing strategy, and nurturing productive discourse with government sectors and broader public entities in the CEE and Central Asia regions.

Binance's regional head, Richard Teng, voiced praises for Kyrylo's impressive leadership, user-orientated perspective, and irreproachable integrity. Teng pointed to his deep comprehension of local markets as being invaluable to Binance's initiative to secure its foothold in these strategic regions.

From his end, Kyrylo emphasized the value of nurturing local presences in CEE and Central Asian countries to cultivate trust and develop products that meet the needs of users daily, establishing Binance as a reliable partner in these regions.

Kyrylo joined the Binance team in January 2021, initially managing the Ukrainian market. From January 2022, his role extended to cover the entire CEE region. Now, he will head the development efforts across 14 countries within the CEE and Central Asia jurisdictions.

Before Binance, Kyrylo held leading positions in various banking, fintech, and government organizations, offering over 15 years of seasoned experience. Notably, he served as the CEO of the State Agency of Infrastructure Projects of Ukraine and CEO of a blockchain software development company before his tenure at Binance.
