Why do we need Lore?

The core of any Metaverse is not just its mechanics, technology, or economy, but its story—the legacy that forms the basis of its existence. The stories we weave give life, context and meaning to every action, planet and life form in our vast universe.

Federation proposal to all planetary federations

Produced in careful collaboration with respected science fiction authors, this new LORE story promises to provide an accessible foundation for all creative endeavors in the alien world ecosystem. Dacoco is excited to present the beginnings of a reimagined, broader story (LORE) for Alien Worlds - one that transcends the confines of our current narrative to provide a richer context for our shared universe. This story transcends our current narrative and lays out a more immersive picture of narrative creation, depicting the origins, challenges, and dreams of a unique race in our shared metaverse, centered around Trilium.

The Federation seeks to make the following recommendations to all planetary federations to mark a new beginning in the Metaverse Shared Story of Extraterrestrial Worlds (LORE). This is just the beginning, it's specifically designed to be open and unbiased so that the community can build on it.

The story of the galaxy begins

…The Federation’s first contact with humans was 120 years ago. This changes the fabric of our reality, introducing us to an interstellar realm and the different races that call it home. Earth's integration into this galactic society has shaped our history, culture, and future. This introduction caused an uproar due to the mistaken discovery of Trilium. The ensuing "gold rush" brought a unique alien race to our doorstep, bringing both technological marvels and socioeconomic challenges...

Trilium: A lifeline for alien worlds

Trilium is the most biologically active natural substance in the known metaverse. It accelerates mutation and duplication of genetic material in its original form at an unprecedented rate. This is disastrous for any creature that comes into contact. The race that discovered Trilium studied, refined and exploited it. Ultimately, they found that they could use their technology to precisely control Trilium's effects on genetic material. They can eliminate disease, slow down aging, and make themselves better, faster, and stronger with their super organic abilities. However, these effects are temporary and will last as long as people are able to provide Trilium for the technology. This had a profound impact on all aspects of their society, economy and culture. Eventually the technology ran out of Trilium and they turned to the stars to find more Trilium. Using Trilium and technology to enhance their ability to survive in other atmospheres, they began a great expansion, with unprecedented exchanges of culture, knowledge, and technology occurring as more and more sentient species came into contact. Right now, the only known supplies of Trilium exist on just six planets: Magor, Eyeke, Neri, Kavian, Naron, and Veles, and are controlled by the powerful Alliance of Planets. Today, Trilium lies at the center of the Metaverse. $TLM

Explorers, over the next few months we will continue to propose and share a wealth of new characters and narratives. This new LORE is an invitation. Writer, developer, creator - the Alien World Metaverse is your canvas. Together we can build unique narratives, products and games on this foundation and grow together.

The Federation will also release tools that allow the community to shape the canon of alien worlds and vote for official stories (LORE). Until then, we can all have some fun imagining what this new world could look like and create content that will inspire games, art, events, and more set in the metaverse of alien worlds.
