In 2021, Alt Season Exploded – But the Market Was Still Full of Doubt
Back then, you could randomly pick a project and easily 3x or 4x your investment in a short time. However, before that surge, pessimism loomed over the market. Many believed crypto was full of scams, the market was too small, and regulations were unclear—making it seem impossible for the industry to grow.
Now in 2025, the market has improved significantly compared to 2021, yet alt season is still nowhere to be seen.
This time, we have new concerns: too many new coins, overinflated FDVs, and meme coins dominating. On top of that, the downward trend has shaken confidence in alt season even further.
➡️ If every cycle was the same and we could simply copy-paste past strategies, financial markets would be too easy to predict.
➡️ Market Makers (MMs) are playing this season exceptionally well, making us lose hope and doubt our initial targets.
➡️ In 2025, everyone expected January & February to be profit-taking months, but MM always goes against the majority. This is a valuable lesson that will help us make better exits in the next phase.
For Futures Traders:
If you've blown your futures account, my condolences. To me, futures are only a tool to optimize short-term gains, not a quick way to get rich. Don’t let revenge trading drag you in deeper.
For Spot Holders:
If you can’t handle the losses from high-risk assets, you might consider reallocating to safer assets to reduce mental stress. But make sure you won’t regret it if the assets you sold 4x or 5x later.
To be honest, even my faith in alt season has been shaken at times—even after experiencing 2021 firsthand. So I completely understand how overwhelming this must be for newcomers.
But we're already halfway through the journey. Focus on your work to ease market pressure. Sometimes, doing nothing—being patient and waiting—is the best strategy.
If we ignore price action, the truth is that crypto is getting stronger than ever. Stay confident, and let’s reap the rewards together!
