On January 31, Charles Hoskinson, co-founder of Input Output (IO) and founder of the Cardano blockchain, officially announced the launch of the Wyoming Integrity Political Action Committee (PAC) in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This initiative marks an important step forward in promoting blockchain technology and cryptocurrency policies in state government technology projects and contracts.

The goal of the PAC: Ensure transparency and ethics.
The Wyoming Integrity Political Action Committee was established with the goal of overseeing government purchasing and contracting activities, ensuring that all transactions are conducted transparently, fairly, and without fraud. With the PAC, Hoskinson and his colleagues hope to create a fairer environment for technology companies, especially startups in the blockchain and cryptocurrency sectors.
Hoskinson, a voice in the crypto community, stated that he wants to create a level playing field for companies, where the best ideas can win without being dominated by large companies with extensive connections.
"We are creating a framework for fairness and transparency so that everyone has an equal opportunity."
This is not the first time Charles Hoskinson has shown interest and commitment to the development of cryptocurrency in Wyoming. The state is known for passing cryptocurrency and blockchain-friendly policies, including recognizing decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) as legal entities. Wyoming is also preparing to launch a state-backed stablecoin based on cryptocurrency-friendly laws.
With the PAC, Hoskinson hopes to promote blockchain initiatives, including the use of Cardano blockchain in Wyoming government projects. The Cardano blockchain, known for its energy efficiency and scalability, could play a significant role in developing stablecoins and decentralized finance (DeFi) initiatives in the state, although no official partnerships have been announced yet.
One of the notable projects of Wyoming and Cardano is the live demo on the Cardano Mainnet, currently being implemented at the University of Wyoming. This demo focuses on the "Freeze and Seize" feature, which will be a key feature of the stablecoin developed by Wyoming.
The "Freeze and Seize" feature has the ability to lock or seize assets if necessary, helping to control and monitor the use of digital currency, especially for government-backed cryptocurrency initiatives. This is an important feature to ensure the safety and legal compliance of decentralized financial systems and related transactions.
Hoskinson is not only the founder of Cardano but also a significant influencer in promoting policies that support blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. Throughout his career, he has worked with local and federal lawmakers, helping them gain a better understanding of blockchain and its potential applications in various fields.
"Without a solid foundation of trust and accountability, the technology frenzy can collapse," Hoskinson shared, emphasizing that transparency and fairness in technology transactions are key factors in ensuring the sustainable development of the crypto industry.
