The draft Maker Constitution proposed by the MakerDAO community proposes to allocate 20,000 MKR (approximately $14 million) to a scientific sustainable development fund to combat global climate warming. The Science Sustainability Fund is a temporary measure that will be phased out in 2040.

The draft states that the Science for Sustainability Fund will use funds to promote, educate and combat misinformation about energy solutions, prohibiting direct funding of coal energy, and enforcing it through a real-world asset collateral scope framework.
