PANews reported on February 3rd that according to CoinDesk, Bank of New York Mellon (BK) announced on Thursday that Caroline Butler will be promoted to CEO of digital assets. Butler joined Bank of New York Mellon in 2020 and previously served as CEO of custody services, leading the development of the bank's integrated digital custody and management platform. Launched in October 2022, the platform allows fund managers to store private keys for accessing Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), and provides other traditional accounting functions. In the future, Butler will continue to lead the digital asset custody platform and oversee all digital asset business plans across the company.
